Saturday found us back downtown shopping again since we used all the gifts we bought the day before in Caucel. This time we had some tracts to hand out as we walked the streets. Like the previous day, we bought many items for the children. Since we had a feel for what to buy, the shopping went much faster this time. At a recent Harvest Church retreat, the guest preacher said that in life we have minutes and moments, based upon two Greek words for "time" found in the Bible. Minutes are what pass most of the time. Time just passes by, just like it is right now as you read this. Moments, on the other hand, are God ordained events in history. His moments are appointments He ordained since the foundation of the earth. Moments rarely happens when it is convenient for us. Generally, moments will occur when you are most hurried. Moments cannot be manufactured. God alone sets these events in our lives. |
